If a drain water disinfection unit is used, we advise applying our Triton system to the disinfected drain silo for optimal results.

A Triton system for a drain silo does not require an dissolved oxygen sensor; for this application, the timer function in the Triton system can be utilized.

Installation of a nanobubble generator at a drainwater silo

The Triton system arrives fully assembled, complete with all necessary PVC fittings for installation on a drainwater silo. The delivery includes:

  • Triton nanobubble generator
  • Bracket with PVC couplings for mounting the piping on the edge of the drainwater silo
  • Suction and tank mixer for optimal nanobubble mixing within the silo

As a customer, you only need to supply your own 50 mm PVC pipe. The nanobubble generator comes pre-configured from the factory, ensuring quick and easy commissioning for your drainwater silo.

Maintenance nanobubble generator

O2Solutions’ innovative design guarantees maintenance-free operation of the system, eliminating the need for chemical cleaning typical of other systems on the market.

The only maintenance required is an annual check-up of the oxygen concentrator. Our service departments in the Netherlands and Canada will coordinate and handle this for you.

We recommend keeping a value between 15 and 20 ppm to get the optimal result.

If fertilisers are also dosed to the daily supply silo, the DO reading on the Nanobubbles system should not be set above 17ppm to avoid reaction with iron chelate.

Technically, the Triton needs a pre-filtration of 1,000 microns to protect the device, but for the optimal performance of nanobubbles, a pre-filtration of at least 40-60 microns is advised.

Broadly speaking, yes, with the exception of crops with a high organic load in the water, in which case the dosage should be higher.

  • Make sure all supply lines entering the silo are below the water level, this gives higher efficiency, falling water causes nanobubbles to explode.
  • Make sure the intake line of the irrigation unit is properly sized and does not pull too much vacuum, as vacuum pulling causes the nanobubbles to explode to larger bubbles and come out of the water.
