Our recommendation for rainwater basins

For smaller rainwater basins or so called in-between basins with up to 10.000 m³ capacity we recommend using the Triton system.

For larger basins we recommend using our Artemis systems. A single Artemis can supply a basin up to 80.000 m³ capacity with nanobubbles and keep the basin clean healthy and algae-free.

Capacity nanobubble generator

It’s vital to ensure that the nanobubble generator has sufficient capacity for dosing nanobubbles effectively into your rainwater basins.

For precise determination of the appropriate capacity of the Triton system, we advise seeking guidance from our experts for calculation assistance. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need assistance in determining the correct capacity.

Latest projects

We have recently provided the following companies with a nanobubble generator for their rainwater basins.

Installation

The Triton system is delivered completely assembled including all PVC fittings required for mounting on a daily supply silo. Delivery consists of:

  • Triton nanobubble generator
  • Bracket incl. PVC couplings for mounting the pipework on the edge of the daily supply silo.
  • Suction and tank mixer for ideal mixing of the nanobubbles is the silo.
  • As a customer, you only need to provide 50 mm PVC pipe yourself.

The nanobubble generator is already factory set and ready to be commissioned in no time to your daily supply silo.

Maintenance nanobubble generator

The unique design of O2Solutions ensures that the system is maintenance-free during use, no chemical cleaning of the generator is required as is common with other systems on the market.

The only maintenance consists of annual maintenance of the oxygen concentrator. This is coordinated and carried out for you via our service departments in the Netherlands and Canada.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

We recommend keeping a value between 15 and 20 ppm to get the optimal result.

If fertilisers are also dosed to the daily supply silo, the DO reading on the Nanobubbles system should not be set above 17ppm to avoid reaction with iron chelate.

Technically, the Triton needs a pre-filtration of 1,000 microns to protect the device, but for the optimal performance of nanobubbles, a pre-filtration of at least 40-60 microns is advised.

Broadly speaking, yes, with the exception of crops with a high organic load in the water, in which case the dosage should be higher.

  • Make sure all supply lines entering the silo are below the water level, this gives higher efficiency, falling water causes nanobubbles to explode.
  • Make sure the intake line of the irrigation unit is properly sized and does not pull too much vacuum, as vacuum pulling causes the nanobubbles to explode to larger bubbles and come out of the water.
